Coffee via Toddy

Let me introduce you to the newest member of our family! The Toddy!

It’s a new-to-me cold brew coffee system. You create the coffee concentrate as in the above picture. The concentrate stays good for 2 weeks in the fridge. Just heat, add hot water or milk and voila! Coffee! It’s claim to fame is that it’s 60% less acidic than traditional hot brew coffee.

You put a special filter in the white part of the toddy and then the recommended amount of coffee and water. Let it sit for 12-24 hours. Next, pull the plug out of the bottom and let the fuel to every parent drip into the glass canister.

We’ve recently emptied our first batch of concentrate and I can say I think I”ll be hooked! It’ll take some time to get the recipe just right but you can’t beat how smooth it is!
